IT Procurement Specialist
Interim Assignment
For our client in the Utility industry we are currently looking for a IT Procurement Specialist - specializing in technology and procurement processes who will help to optimize spending, secure supplier relationships, and ensure compliance with procurement norms and risk controls.
Background
This procurement relates to services of an IT procurement specialist. As amount and the complexity of IT projects within our Client's organisation are increasing, there is a need to temporarily expand their team.
Contract term
The anticipated Contract term and options to extend are:
- Intitial Term of the Contract - Up to 1 year
- Options to extend - 2 times for 3 moths
- Maximum Term - Up to 1,5 years
Contract conditions imply full time hours for the Specialist.
Key Deliverables
The candidate should be able to perform tasks described below:
- Plan and implement IT procurement processes in close collaboration with project teams;
- Ensure that the Client's procurement policy and procedures apply;
- Establish effective and professional working relationships with sections and team members, and where relevant participate in and provide advice to project teams;
- Analyse areas of expenditure and identify opportunities to maximise cost and operational efficiencies;
- Develop and prepare reccomendations on procurement processes and contract awards to the Procurement Manager and other key stakeholders;
- Direct commercial negotiations and communication with suppliers;
- Contribute to the development of enhancements to Client's processes and strategies in support of the growth and continuous improvement of the Procurement Function;
- Collect and review market data and make recommendations.
Required Qualifications
The IT Procurement Specialist requires the following skills and abilities:
- Between 5-10 years of experience in procurement; or possession of a professional procurement qualification or certification;
- Proven procurement expierience in:
- IT-services, IT Hardware & IT Software, IT Consultancy/Delivery and other Professional Services
- Sourcing of complex IT projects in a multidisciplinary team
- High value (500k + EUR) and complex stakeholder environment
- Experience in the public or in energy industry is a plus
- Experience in analysis of procurement expenditure/contracts and implementation of best practice procurement;
- Experience in the collection and analysis of market data;
- Excellent skills in organising, sheduling, planning and coordinating work with a high degree of initiative and judgement, reliability, resourcefulness and flexibility to perform a variety of tasks and set priorities;
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive issues with discretion;
- Excellent writing and oral communication skills in English;
- Ability to work independently and in team setting with competing deadlines;
- Proactive and resulst-oriented attitude;
